In this corner of Málaga, history is felt in every step. Very close to our establishments is the English Cemetery, inaugurated in 1831, the first of its kind in Spain and a small historic garden that adds character and serenity to the area.
Decades later, in 1900, these same shores witnessed the shipwreck of the German frigate Gneisenau. That tragedy sparked a wave of solidarity among the people of Málaga, who cared for the survivors and honored the victims. That generous spirit forever marked the soul of the neighborhood and gave its name to Príes Avenue.
Over time, the area also welcomed local wineries, such as the historically mentioned Bodegas Príes or Bodegas Mata, which brought commercial life and the sweet aroma of Málaga wines.
Today, where these three chapters intertwine—memory, hospitality, and tradition—we welcome you to an authentic place, where history still seems to float in the air.
Our gallery
At Pries Homes & Art, we believe that a home goes beyond its walls: it is a space to live, feel, and dream. That is why our passion for design coexists with our love for art. We have dedicated a corner of our living room to function as a gallery, where the elegance of furniture coexists with the expressive power of painting.
In this space, we have the honor of featuring works by Aracely Alarcón, a Spanish artist whose painting lives through light, color, and emotion. Alarcón—recognized for her landscape, still life, seascape, and urban scene paintings—manages to capture fleeting moments as if they were a dream frozen in time.
Her paintings, vibrant and full of nuances, invite those who contemplate them to pause, breathe, and let their gaze wander through each stroke, each atmosphere. For us, showcasing her work is not just a statement of artistic taste: it is a tribute to the value of art in everyday life, and an invitation to our guests to experience their homes with sensitivity, beauty, and personality.
